A spin around the internet

This week was very hectic. The entire weekend was spent staffing my work’s booth at the DC Green Festival. So this week I assessed what type of material was available. This helped me figure out which aspects of the fire I want to look at more.

Doing a quick google, I found a bluegrass song about the fire and a photo montage on youtube.





Also, I was really impressed with Enoch Pratt’s website of the fire.

So far, I will be looking more into the following areas:

an in-depth account of the fire

the rebuilding of Baltimore

pre and post fire codes

standardized parts

Research Proposal

For my History of Baltimore class, I will be using this blog to research and explore the Baltimore’s Great Fire of 1904 and its aftermath.

This is my first time using a blog. It will be very exciting to do my research in this format, since I will be able to easily share photographs and other sources of information. It will be very interesting to see how this turns out.
